Continuous Expansion Since Inception in 1993
Taiwan developed its high-tech industries in the 1990s. With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical industry and good investment vision, Chairman Lin founded Cheng Mao Co., Ltd. in 1993, as he foresaw a great potential for Taiwan’s sheet metal industry. In order to manufacture high precision and high quality sheet metal enclosures, he imported the most advanced sheet metal processing equipment from Japan and German at great cost to provide services to the customers.

Deep Roots in Taiwan; Focus on Quality
Taiwan’s economic development was not without drawbacks. In the face of the many small and medium enterprises that have moved to China, Cheng Mao was faced with a choice. Chairman Lin was convinced that the Company’s core competitiveness lies in its focus on quality and services, so he chose to remain rooted in Taiwan. Because of this, one after another well-known technology companies set up plants in Tainan Science-based Industrial Park and Lu-Chu Science-based Industrial Park. Cheng Mao’s high-quality market strategies enabled it to quickly meet customer satisfaction.
Rapid Expansion of Professionals and Plants; Diverse Services
Due to the increased number of companies and plants in Tainan Science-based Industrial Park and Lu-Chu Science-based Industrial Park and customers, the Company’s product R&D and service has become diversified. The Phase 2 Plant Expansion Plan was launched, thereby expanding the plant area expanded to 2314m². Meanwhile, in order to strengthen its technical upgrades, expensive sophisticated equipment, such as laser machines and CNC brakes from Japan, were purchased.

In the face of competition from China that engages in cheap and low-cost production, Cheng Mao has faced the changing situation through intensive cultivation. In 2004, a three-year development targeting three aspects including: talent recruit, technical upgrade and organization-wide breakthrough was developed as counter measures in the face of the competition.
In 2005, the Company saw the trend and took a bold approach. It purchased a plant measuring 3966 m² in area to implement its Phase 3 plant expansion plan. In terms of employees, it has actively recruited premium talents. The purpose of the present 3D talent training is a business strategy developed in response to the customer-oriented business undertakings and provision of better services to customers.
